Denver Day 2….

Good Morning and Happy Sunday!

Day 2 in Denver attending Connection 2010 which is part of the annual MidWinter for Covenant pastors has really lived up to the hype so far!  It is so good to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones.  Youth Pastors from across the country have come to have a time to refresh and enjoy the challenge of being with one another.

Today will be a GREAT day as I continue to spend quality time with our intern team, hang with old friends, and ROOT ON THE VIKINGS.  I must be honest, I’m really quite nervos about the game.  Don’t take me wrong, I’m VERY HOPEFUL, but this is the game that decides legend!

I also had the great opportunity to connect with a few friends who I had asked to read through the rough draft of my book.  What a great time.  I love writing in community.  It has been such a blessing to have the wisdom of others speak into this project.  What a gift these friends are.

Ok, but let’s keep our perspective here.  There are a lot more important things going on in the world than that.  Here are some prayers for Sunday:

God, here our prayers:

For my family back home in Kansas City…may my wife be energized and my boys loving.  May they continue to grow in you.

For our youth group that meets today.  Please give wisdom to the volunteers, energy, patience, and joy.

God, we pray for the continued effort to help those in need in the devastated country of Haiti.  God, please bring glory through this situation.  We also pray for the Covenant missionaries that I’ve had the chance to talk with this week here in Denver.  As they make plans to be a part of the relief, give them wisdom.

God, I pray for our future baby.  Little baby Ciccone.  I’m so looking forward to his or her birth.  What a joy.

God, thank you for the way you are transforming my life.  May I look to you in all I do.  As hard as that is, I pray for your help in allowing you to be everything in me.

Thank you God.  Amen.

Have a great day y’all.
