Welcome to Denver…..
Today marks the beginning of one of my favorite weekends of the year: Connection 2010. Connection, formerly known as “Youth Pastor Connection” or YPC, since 1994 been one of the most refreshing times of the year for me. Basically, youth pastors from across the country (and even Canada) travel to one location to celebrate our jobs as youth pastors. It really is a reunion. The Denomination sets up a weekend of great speakers, significant worship environments, and times for us to connect with each other (thus the name). I love it.
This year Nate and I were able to bring our interns to join with us in the celebration thanks to the generosity of some amazing people at Hillcrest. It’s been over two years that the Ciccone family has lived in KC and it’s times like this that I have chance to slow down and reflect on what God has done. We are so blessed to have the history we do. I’m so thankful for the people that have really mentored me that I get to see here. I’m praying for a fun weekend and a time to connect with these people. I’ll try to post some pictures of my surroundings later.
